The purpose of the NC Reentry Resources Hub project is to maintain a website providing high-quality information resources relevant and valuable to NC citizens reentering society after a period of incarceration or dealing with collateral consequences of a previous criminal conviction.
Code for Asheville volunteers created a site for Buncombe County. They have since partnered with Code for Greensboro on a project to serve all 100 counties in North Carolina. DemocracyApps has taken on responsibility for the operating side of this Code for NC Reentry Resources Hub project. See this update for reasoning that led to this decision.
We have formed an operating committee to organize this effort while the code is still being written. Current members of the committee are:
- Christiana Glenn Tugman, City of Asheville Homelessness Lead and Coordinator for the Asheville/Buncombe Continuum of Care program area
- Debbie Bailey, HMIS System Administrator/Grants Manager at Partners Ending Homelessness and Coordinator for the Greensboro/High Point Continuum of Care program area
- Eric Jackson, co-captain of Code for Asheville and CEO of DemocracyApps
- Jason Marshall, president of Code for Greensboro
The bylaws for the operating committee may be found here.
